"I have a third-grader and a kindergartener at Sedalia Elementary.  The teachers are superior.  Every one who has taught my children has gone the extra mile for them.  They give me regular updates on the kids' progress, communicating clearly and concisely.  Each class has about 18 kids, taught by one teacher and one aide, so I feel like my son and daughter are getting the personal attention they need to do their best. 

 

 

"One of my favorite things about Sedalia Elementary is all of the extra programs they offer.  There is an after-school prgram for working parents.  Children can get free tutoring at the end of the school day.  And they do a lot to create a sense of community with family activities like the Fall Festival, family dinner nights and movie nights.  It's really a wonderful educational environment."

 

 

"My son is in the fifth grade at Sedalia Elementary, and my daughter is in the fourth.  We were actually drawn to this area because of the variety of educational options.  They have magent programs at the elementary, middle and high school levels in performing arts, science and technology, communications, Spanish immersion and global studies.  There is also a Montessori program, a very challenging gifted and talented prgram, and they even offer college-level courses for high-schoolers.  Plus, if you choose a magnet school that is located some distance from home, the county provides free bus service, which is a real convenience.
